Are You a Student in a Healthcare Field?

We need your input!

We are looking for students in nursing, medicine, dentistry, physical or occupational therapy, etc., to tell us about your experiences and what is helpful to you to understand about working with people with intellectual disabilities to provide them with high-quality healthcare services in an inter-disciplinary (IPE) manner.

Who are we looking for?

Students in a healthcare field (nursing, medicine, dentistry, physical or occupational therapy, etc.) willing to share their views in small groups.

What is this project about?

The goal of our project is to evaluate curriculum materials and approaches to educate healthcare students, like yourselves, and professionals (nurses, doctors, dentists, and others) to better understand how to work with people with intellectual disabilities in an interprofessional manner.

What will we ask you to do?

  • Take part in a group meeting with 5-6 other students in healthcare fields.
  • The meeting will take about 1.5 hours.
  • You can take part in person or online.
  • In the meeting, you will be asked to share your experiences and what would be helpful to you when working with people with intellectual disabilities, including curriculum material and approaches.
  • Everyone who takes part will receive a $25 gift card.

If you are interested in taking part in the meeting, please contact the project coordinators, Lisa Angel and Kennedy Sheppard, with the subject line ‘Group Meeting’. After you contact them, we will follow up with you. Thank you!
